does nothing for me. had the 5/500 and the norco 10/325. Wait, thats a lie I got the constipation but NO pain relief. Both were legitimately prescribed. Anyone else have this problem?
on a side note I do have a high alcohol tolerance and when taking the meds dont drink.
Same here. I was prescribed hydrocodone after I crashed last year. Did absolutely nothing for me.
On the flip side, my friend had some for his shoulder surgery a few years ago, and said it was too intense for him, and caused him to have some really trippy dreams.
Does nothing for me either, had it for elbow and foot surgery. Best combo I ever have taken was a 800 Ibuprofen and a Flexoril(sp?) Pain was gone and I slept all day…
If I take 1, I will sleep for 16 hours straight. Totally wipes me out.

Oxycodone is where it’s at. I’m on it right now (Percocet), recovering from a surgery, and, damn. I had to cut my dosage in half because two tablets take me to some other planet far far away from pain. But a little too far.
same for me, hydrocodone did nothing but I was put on percocet for multi bi lat PE and it was incredible…

This is my experience. Hydrocodone doesn’t get me high or numb my brain like, say alcohol, but it does relieve the pain. Of course, I’m not taking it in gigantic dosages, snorting, injecting or smoking it.
It’s my undertsanding that the effectiveness of this and similar drugs varies among individuals. Just don’t don’t confuse “feeling inebreated” with “alleviating pain.”
