There won’t be any this year. The insurance carrier for the event will not cover the practice events so they have chosen not to have them this year.

Do you know if it’ll be a wetsuit or non wetsuit swim? Can’t find anything on their website.
Water temp was 82 1day ago. They post the water temp on their website bottom right under race updates. That’s up from a week ago. So as of right now, no wetsuit, but I’d bring it with you.
No, it is a city park w/ a beach that does normally allow swimming. I would think you could still do some swimming just no lifeguards/kayakers. Though all the triathlon hoopla going on, I’m not sure if they will actually close the park or not.
Even though I work in both cities where they have hosted the race I have more more of an idea what is going on in WDM (where I work part time) vs my full time gig.
As for water temp, it could go either way. We’ve got some cool weather next week and the nights have been substantially cooler. If I were to guess I would bet wetsuit legal. Just a guess though.
