Hurray for close elections, absentee ballots actually get counted!

Didn’t know till this year that absentee ballots weren’t counted unless they absolutely had to be (based on # of votes, result differentials etc).

Maybe I’m biased, but I feel that they should count all absentee ballots. I think it sends a bad message that people make special accomodations to be able to vote, especially when you consider a lot of these votes come from the military.

As a permanent absentee voter, I couldn’t agree more with you on this.

This is one of the issues that made Algore look like such a liar when he was trying ‘get all the votes counted’. All the votes, that is, except the absentees, who. like you said, would likely be agin’ 'im.
