hello

this is probably a stupid question (well i’m dutch,so what did you expect) but i was doing some calculations on this site and according to my calculations a 53x11 is about the same as a 58x12(700c). is this true? i wanna know because i’m probably gonna buy me some rotorcranks in the near future and i wanna know which chainring will be good for me.

thanks

53 / 11 = 4.818

58 / 12 = 4.833

So, yes, both gears are close to each other. (in both cases, 1 full rotation of the crank will cause the rear wheel to complete 4.8 circles)
