I have a good cyclometer, cateye double wireless. Unfortunately I need a continuous reading Heart Rate Monitor. I’d prefer strapless but it looks like that does not work for cycling as you have to touch the device. So I thought I’d just ask the experts, which are the cheapest/best that you would recommend.
Thanks for the advice.
I would say that a polar f4 or f6 will fit the bill just fine. I think polar makes the best HR monitors out there.
Be careful with Polar and a Cateye wireless combo, these units may have mixed results when used together. Polar has also come out with a newer FT4 and FT7
Thanks, I’ll check out the new models
.
One word of caution, all Polar FT units do not perform lap/splits or have timers. For a similar cost the RS100 may be more tri friendly and cost similar to the FT7. Please try and borrow a friends Polar and do a short ride with to see if your Cateye interferes with the Polar Hr signal.
