Sounds to me like Stern is fit to be the President of the USA.
Well if any of you are truly Stern fans, you would know that he talks very well of Trump, in other words, he is a ball washer like many of you here!! If you listened, you would know he defends Trumps statements back in the day as comedy, he was playing a role for entertainment. He really has given him the benefit of the doubt, even though it appears the old entertainment Trump, seems a lot like the president Trump.
But I think Howard nailed it early on, he liked the idea of being president and running(pretty much knowing he would never win), but the unbelievable happened, and now he is trapped. How could he give up the life he was leading, and now be beholding to just about everyone around him. Howard often quips that he has been to Maro Lago, and would never leave that place once there, Trump had the perfect life…
Howard does the best, most instructive, and thought provoking interviews in the world now, no contest. Sorry Oprah, Gail, and whoever is in that business. If you want to get to know someone, listen to one of his hour and a half, no commercial interviews with his guests, pure radio gold…

He does not act like someone who is trapped, though. He unnecessarily manufactures drama just about every day.
Also he has a way out. He could do four years, claim he fixed everything, and gracefully bow out so that the next person can take over. He shows no sign of doing so.

As usual, I offer no defense of Trump but you are just too much a Ball-o-phobe to see that.
The point of the post is how obsessed you are that you will latch on to anyone who says a bad thing about Trump.
I have been a Stern listener since 1986. I have two books and have seen Private Parts more times than I can count. I own SiriusXM stock solely because of him.

I actually just finished watching the full interview on CNN. Very reveling. I remember him pre satellite days and he is quite different now. He described himself as being a “selfish jerk” in the past and said he voted for republicans all is life. But there was “a civility between democrats and republicans before”. When asked he said he does not blame Trump for that. Kind of a mild ball washer…

He said he firmly believe that Trump would have given him a post in the government , would he accepted the invitation. Sure they are. But, Stern specifically is a noted scumbag whose opinion on everything else would be dismissed as that of a “notorious shock jock”. My point is we have to be genuine in sourcing information. A life-long tantalizer who is out on a book tour is not who we should use for our educational sound bites, regardless of the side of the aisle they are on.
Alternatively, if Stern is going to be the voice of record, let’s hear and celebrate his other positions.
