How to true a carbon wheel?

I recently bought a set of Planet X wheels with internal nipples and I am curious to know how do you true them? The wheels aren’t in need of being trued yet but I am just curious to know if this is something that I can do myself. I spoke with one bike shop and they gave me a price of $50 to true carbon wheels with internal nipples, which sounds crazy to me. So, I want to learn for myself.

AFAIK they true jsut liek any other wheel. The problem is that you have to remove the tires to get to the nipples. It is also important to lube the nipple when truing I understand.

rims are sourced from Gigantex and they make a spoke wrench for this. I
have one for my wheels. At that point it is similar to truing any
other wheel.

It is always important to lube the nipples, really good and give them a nice gentle twist

Sorry, couldn’t resist.

Thanks for the information. So since I am new to this what do you do? Remove the rim tape and lube the nipples and get to work? Is there anything specific you have to do with bladed spokes?
