How to solve dog issues on the bike?

I think we finally have a solution…

Well, he has obviously never run into the mighty attack Basset that would chew that thing up.

Isn’t that stuff on his leg the plastic crap you connect a down gutter pipe to an extension? Very high tech.

Yup, I think it is gutter pipe…

Cute, but not a total solution. You are more likely to be hurt by a collision with a chasing dog than to actually be bitten. At least for the cyclists on this site who can out bike a chasing dog.

Actually … the cyclists who can’t are at greater risk.

Not for me, when I was 10, got bit by such a little tiny dog that ran away afterwards. Unfortunately, he boke the skin so that meant 14 days of painful rabbies shots.

Wow, you could bike at 20mph+ at 10 years? But since most 10 yr old children are not riding at road bike speeds, their chances of a collision with dog is lower and their chances of being caught (bitten) by the dog is higher. I specificly addressed STers who can out ride a dog.
