Anyone know how to do this. I think there is a tool for it but doubt it would be worth it for one wheel.

I have used a small file to make a slot in the bottom of the spoke hole.

I have never done it myself (not brave enough I guess) but you should be able to buy a needle file or borrow one from a tool and die guy. If you’re doing it though…I would think you would want to make sure the slots are not in a radial pattern going away from the center of the hub but rather following the radius of it. Just seems to me that it would do less hard and likely be a lower cause of failure doing it this way.
I believe DT has, or had, a tool for slotting hubs. I seem to remember it was basically a large hole punch/pliers sort of contraption and probably ultra-expensive otherwise I would have bought one. I got a Dremel tool instead, and sourced a small bit to do the job. I’ve used it for dozens of hubs.
