hi, i want to sell my mtb and go the easiest way possible (time to face the music, i’m not going to ride it). unlike many of you, i don’t know how to unbuild and rebuild my bike…generally, i have my LBS do my stuff–that’s what i pay them for. so, i’m concerened about shipping. so, this mtb; is it best to just try to sell it locally so i don’t have to disassemble the bike? also, i bought it for 2K–it’s a 2006 Cannondale F1000 that has never been ridden…not even once. was thinking of asking 1500.00 is that fair? thanks for any insights. kittycat
check ebay and roadbikereview er well mtnbikereview.com to see what prices it is fetching. Then add a shipping charge to it. fwiw, I’ve sold about 5 bikes used and i typically have found used bikes, even if unridden are worth less to others then the original owners.
Don’t ship it.
ah, thanks guys!
Just sold my tri bike on ebay, got what i felt the bike was worth. Shipping is easy, just put the amount you anticipate into the shipping costs. Have your lbs pack it and get it ready for shipping(mine charged me $40) and shipping with fedex for me was $34 and was insured, with delivery confirmation.
Do bikes actually sell on Craigslist? In Montreal the prices people ask are insane, I’ve wondered if anyone was crazy enough to pay. Are other cities like that?
