Any suggestions on reattaching the black cloth on my arm pads on my profile design aero bars? The pads themselves are fine. I don’t feel like spending money to replace them since they work fine. I also could just leave them as is. Anybody use some sort of fabric glue to reattach them?
I haven’t done it myself, but I suspect “Shoo-Goo” should do the trick. Bonds fabrics well and is waterproof.
i went through this problem with a few different takes. the last was the most successful, but not perfect.
first i made big efforts to reattach or restuff the loose sides in. that was only good for the next couple of rides.
then i got similar material (i had on hand) and covered the whole pad and cinched it below with a tight rubber band. this worked, but it pulled out once or twice, and i had to do a major fiddle with the raw and raggedy ends, which i didn’t want to show.
lastly i improved on the latter plan, but actually sewing it shut underneath. i took care of the loose ends during that process, so it looked and felt smooth. sewing those on, the way i wanted them to look, was a job that required some skill, patience and being a bit of a contortionist. but it worked.

I didn’t think of shoo goo. I do have some other fabric glue I’m going to try first.
I’m going to try glue first. If that doesn’t work I’ll try sewing it.
