How to paint a small section of my P3SL?

Hey all,

I want to modify a small 3 inch x 3 inch section of the downtube of my P3SL - make my bike a bit different. How can I repaint it or can I get a custom sticker made somehow?

Wasn’t someone of Slowtwitch making custom stickers for Zipps and such?

Dave

Try automotive touch up paint that you can get at the auto parts store. It comes in a spray can or a little bottle with a brush in the cap. This works well as it is a lacquer based paint rather than enamel which may be incompatible with some paint finishes (and not knowing what kind of paint is on the bike its safer to go with lacquer). If you dont want to paint you can get adhesive backed vinyl sheets at the hobby shop and use that. You can also get at the hobby shop a decal transfer kit which will allow you to print out on your inkjet or laser printer a water slide decal like in the model car kits.

I’d recommend going with the decal option. Easier, cheaper, and if you don’t like it, can be easily removed as well. I’ve used Victory Circle graphics in the past (http://www.vcgraphix.com/). AJ does a great job, and does a lot of work with bikes, so he know what he’s doing and likely what you need. And no, I’m not his brother/cousin/etc. just a happy customer.

Drop Tai a line, http://www.taigraphx.com/ He did the zipp stickers you saw a while back, I had him do some custom stickers for my wheels, they are sweet and indestructible!

Ask Tai to post a picture of his new P3SL with his own custom Zipp stickers. It is sweeeeeet. He can help out out, I am sure.
