I got new shoes and want to put my ez laces on them from my old ones, but can’t get them off, any ideas??
Ummm, unlace them? Take the plastic things on the top off and un-thread the laces?

Can’t get the plastic piece off, otherwise I wouldn’t be asking.
You need to bend the plastic disc a bit to get the plastic “key” out. There is a ridge on the key that you need to get unhooked from the disc-thingy.

That’s what I figured. Any tips on how to do it without breaking it? I know they are cheap but have no idea where to get them around here.
I always just kind of force it and bend the disc thingy until it pops out. I totally underestand about not being able to get them, but it shouldn’t be TOO hard to get it to pop out.

grab the end of the insert between thumb and forefinger of one hand. then use the other thumbnail to pry the disk apart only as far as you need to pull out the insert.
you’ll find it goes pretty easy after a couple times. the disks will take repeated openings and spring right back…provided you don’t bend them too far.
BTW…if you pull the insert out to the catch point…you can easily move the laces or even remove them without taking the insert out.
