Put my seat back onto the QR Seatpost? This is freaking unreal, I switched my seat to a road bike today, and cannot for the life of me figure out how to put the son of a bitch back on, and of course QR’s website is of no help. Can someone please help me out, Im sure its really simple; but its got me whipped.
Come on, some one help me out. Point me to a link or something. Anything would be appreciated
I bet if you made the subject more informative you would be more likely to get a relevant response.

I’ve had a bit of trouble with this, too. (I don’t have my bike in front of me so this is from memory) There are two mini-barrel looking things. These run perpendicular to the length of the saddle. The indented grooves at the ends of the barrels fit over the rails. Then another single X looking piece goes below the rails, making the rails the middle of a barrel X sandwich.
Actually getting it together is another thing entirely. I found it best to loosely attach the front barrel, put the saddle under it and X under he saddle, then loosely mount the back barrel. Then progressively tighten each of barrels until the seat is tight.
I believe you need a small, flat wrench that should come with the bike to hold one of the nuts in place while tightening with a hex wrench (you can use a non-official QR wrench but it’s tough to find one that fits).
If this makes no sense (as I’m sure it does to all non QR riders) I apologize. Send me a PM with more specific questions and I can try to help.

Perfect, thanks!!
Are you implying that my eloquent description of that picture was not sufficient?
Ah! It reminds me of good old times. “Lot of fun”. It took me quite some time to figure out.
I cannot remember (but you got the answer) and I do not want to relive that moment ![]()
