After I regained my composure, I grabbed my camera and took the above pic. My actions gathered the attention of the cats and this was definitely the most interesting thing that they’ve seen all day long.
I was going to try to capture the snake and release it into my yard, but then it disappeared. It crawled up into the walls and I haven’t been able to see it since then. Hopefully, I won’t find it again. However, I’m sure that if it comes out again, it’ll be dead soon because the cats will get it. They were so interested in it that they were looking for it for another 30 minutes after it disappeared into the wall.
Now, what kind of snake is this? I’ve seen a bunch of them around my yard and now one in my house. Oh, here’s a better pic for identification.
No. I hate chalk lines. They get chalk everywhere and that shit is a bitch to clean up. I’m in the middle of a bathroom remodel. I thought you posted in my thread about it, too.
The brown one seemed to gain 40 lbs of muscle at once when I tried to pull him away from it. We was VERY interested in the snake. As much of a love bug that he is, I have a feeling that we would be a pretty viscious predator if I let him outside and he still had claws. He stalks the birds at the bird feeder almost every day.
I am my own tile guy and no, he didn’t tell me to clean it. It’s actually porcelain tile instead of slate so it’s much easier to take care of than slate.
And one of the biggest contradictions of life. As a homeowner, rain is good because I haven’t had to water my grass or bushes yet this year. I wish I had put some sod down before all of this rain. On the other hand, being a triathlete means I ride in the rain, I don’t ride at all, or I ride on the trainer (not happening).
OK…gotta figure out best way to clean my slate. OK…I could actually MOP. Taper is making me crazy!
I haven’t been riding as much as I should, either, thanks to this weather. Maybe I will suck it up and get on the trainer today. Or not. I did run 3 hours and 10 min. yesterday, so maybe I could rest.
The tile spacers are only vaguely helping. This is my first tile job ever and I can see problems with it already. Oh well. It’s still 1000 times better than the before situation.
