How much runout is acceptable on a race wheel?

I’m considering race wheels and am looking at a couple of factory
seconds, front being regular-spoked 50mm deep, with a runout of .023"
(.58mm) , rear a HED H3 with a runout of .035" (.889mm). What’s the
opinion on runout like this, how noticable is that going to be at
speeds in the low to mid 20s mph?

Thanks,

In each case that’s less than a mm of runout. That’s nothing - and at the speeds you’re talking - youv’e got no problems. Even at my top speed (75km), that would not be an issue I would not hesitate to buy them based on the runouts you mention.
