Thinking of a .22 for my 11yo and a friend has a Ruger in his basement. It’s either a 77/22 bolt action (about $700 for the modern day version), or a less expensive 10/22 (about $300 with the new 10-shot rotary mag).
Any thoughts on the worth of an older (approx 8-10 yrs) rifle in good shape? half the current price? $100? I want to be fair to the guy b/c I know he’ll underprice it.

I have had a 10/22 for several years. it is a great gun!
$100 for a used gun in perfect shape is not a bad price.
I think $150-200 would be fair for the 10/22 is it is lightly used. They don’t seem to go down that much. Fun gun, especially with a 30 shot bannana clip.
