How much should I offer for it. Its in great condition and they throwing in speedplay pedals. Its stock no upgrades so a mix of 105 and ultegra. The guy selling it doesnt know what to sell it for so he told me to give him an offer. He really doesnt want to sell it but if I give him an offer he’ll consider. Thanks
I think that the Cervelo One, the newest model is stock all 105, the older models are 105/tiagra mix not ultegra mix. They were 999 new. So wear and tear, add the speedplays 700 or wait save 500 and get a new one with all 105. Let us know what you do.
The new model is very different from the 2002 Cervelo One. I think that they should have changed the name. The new one is a step down the price scale from the 2002 One. I think the old One is more comparable to what they call the Dual today. As to the price, it would depend on the mileage etc. I don’t know. Offer him $500. If he thinks that’s too low, he obviously has an idea as to how much he wants - get him to name a price.
The 2002 One came in both 105 (with a bit of Ultegra) and in Ultegra, the 2003 came with Tiagra and the 2004 is 105 again. A bit confusing but alas. A 2002 One went for $1499 with 105 I believe, it is a bike comparable to the current dual in geometry and purpose, unlike the current One which is a mid-angle multisport geometry. As for what it would be worth now, tough to say.
Gerard.
Yes he did pay 1499 for it back in 2002 so if he throws in the pedals I was thinking to start at 500 and no higher than 850. If I get in the middle I think I have a good bike and a good price. Low mileage only used in Olympice distance events for 1 year. Tom D has a good review of it on his website. Was just looking to see if anyone knew how much a shop would be selling it if they had one to sell. Thanks
