How much does weight loss help on bike speed?

I am amazed how many folks eat, or drink, so much junk!!! They will spend thousands to save a few pounds on bike stuff, but drink sodas and eat junk to have big guts. I eat as much of anything I want. Just the other day I finished the food from 3 others we went out eating with. Their eyes got big and I said the more I eat, the more weight I lose. (I was joking, but it was all good stuff).

Oh well, so many folks who want to lose weight just eat JUNK!! If you want to be skinny, eat like a skinny person. Such an easy answer, and so many make so much money selling special diets, food, etc.

I heard the other day 20% of the calories come from drinking sodas in our diets. I at the most get 1 a week when I make my root beer float with my hot dogs on Sundays. Other than that, I basically just drink water, milk, and OJ.

I’ve got 10-20lbs on my gut that need to come off if I’m ever going to podium. I work out 2 to 3 times a day, eat only about 1000 calories for breakfast and lunch. Only drink water and coffee. My problem is when I get off work I get home and start snacking and drinking beer. If I can lick that I’ll get the weight off.

Amazing how a little and snacks can make a gut that is very hard to take off. Now that I see that being not as heavy might help my biking, gives me more incentive to not each the junk food. Make that podium goal, save the money on the beer, and see the weight come off. Good luck
