auditors Ernst & Young put the average salary for a UCI ProTeam rider is at $142,000, but annual salaries for top riders in the Tour can go up to $5 million
If you deduct the $5 million for the top rider on a team, the average for the rest is $50-60K. A lot different than $142K. (not saying I am correct, just using the numbers reported.)
