So I took this year off from IM to open my schedule for friends and family and to have more time on my hands. My plan was/is to sign up next Monday for IMWI next year. The goal for the race simply put is to put in me best swim/bike/run combo and see where my time puts me timewise and in my AG, I walked too much of the marathon last year to call it a true measure of my performance level, and well was way to undertrained. Anywho in the past month many friends and family have decided that August of 2012 is the best time to get married. So now my summer looks like this as of now.
June17-24 Wedding in Jamaica
Aug 4th friends wedding
Aug 19th Sisters wedding (bachelor party in Vancouver sometime in July, weekend trip)
Aug 26th friends wedding
September 9 IMWI
I still have full intentions of signing up for IMWI, but maybe have a different expectation out of the training over the summer and race? Also I was thinking about trying out coaching for a year and see how it goes, but now with all these other commitments I am not sure a coach is the best invest for my ability to train as much and well as I want.
Or can I still manage to train well around these events and still have the fitness to put in a solid effort.
