How many triathlons have you completed?

I am fairly new to triathlon and got into the sport in early 2006. The other day during a run and for no reason in particular, I counted all the triathlons I completed.
How many have you completed?
This is NOT a contest, but it will be interesting to see who has done the most (not me by far).
My completions:
2 Ironmans
8 HIMs
7 Oly’s
3 Sprints

Too many to remember but i remember that IM i didn´t complete…

This is NOT a contest You really don’t get ST yet, do you?
.

Racing for 19 years and lost count a long time ago!!

Well the guy that is in the Guiness book of records has I think about 350 or so… I have well over 500 multisport races, I’m sure Tinley has more than that, and a few other people too. Karyn Smyers should have quite a list I would imagine…But I think that I win this contest as long as Tinley or Molina do not see this thread and chime in…(-;

And here on ST, everything is a contest or competition…

I lost count, it is north of 200 though. I’ve been racing since 1984, so a lot of racing. Five Ironmans. One of our customers has done 24 Ironmans. That’s pretty impressive.

Monty, give us a number dude! By the way, it is ST, so none of those races count unless the saddle to aerobar drop is at least 25cm, and thus all your pre aerobar races (1978-86 would be axed)!!!

OK I’m not about to win any competitions on ST, but my first race was in 1985 and I am about to start season number 25 as soon as as I can fix a broken ankle…so at the moment, somewhere between 150 and 180…and none were done with a drop exceeding 13 cm, so since this is ST, I guess I have done no races!

can we count the races that we are going to do in the future?

Racing since 1984 with some very heavy years in there, so I would guess in the 275 range.

raced heavily from 1997-2001, took 4 years off than picked it up again in 2004.

2 IM’s
somewhere in the neighborhood of twenty HIM’s, 20 Oly’s and a few sprints. Around 50 total I reckon.

3 sprints
2 olys
4 HIM
.

ok this will be year 29

11 IM
i have really lost count

if i was to guess about 260ish races completed, now if we can through in the running the numbers would increase
but thats is not the answer to the question

Only if I can count the races that I have dreamed!
(Note: in my head, my dreams are never crushed)

I almost put a smiley next to that, realizing that ST is full of Type A competitive types who can’t help themselves. So far the most is 275!

I’ve lost count too, being at it since 1985, but it sure is less than 200!! I had a job in there somewhere.

1st Tri in 1982…148 including 17 IMs, so far.

It has really slowed down the last 10 years since we had kids, but I don’t see it ever stopping.

We have lost count many years ago. I think Joe is in the mid 300s. 58 Ironman “distance”. He’s been racing since 1984 and raced a lot of sprints, olys for about 10 years. I think he did over 20 races one year. Since 2000 he has cut back on anything shorter than a 1/2.

I think Joe is in the mid 300s.

That is amazing and yet I’m not surprised. Joe is THE MAN. I’m not sure many people out there that can beat that.
But, this is not a contest

Geez I have no idea. I actually started doing triathlons in 1982. So I would guess I am getting close to around 200 multisport and triathlon events.

We have lost count many years ago.\

That’s pretty much my story… I counted about 10 years ago, and it was over 400…Figure I’ve done over a 100+ since then…Had at least one season with 30 races, raced a full season here, went to South America, and then down under for a full year of racing… Had a couple other seasons of about 25 races, and some back to back races in the same weekend. In a sense, I’m glad that I don’t know the exact number. It’s kind of like some streaks, they trap you into their illusion, and it is hard to break free of them. I like being free, but of course I don’t get to be in the guinness book of records…(-;

Racing Tri’s since 93, have completed at least 150 tris of various distances over the years but I have lost count. Have probably done at least as many run races. It doesn’t seem like a lot at the time but with averaging about 10 tris plus numerous running races each year, it adds up! I’m not racing as much now, but had a number of years where I raced A LOT which pushed up the average.
