From June till end of Sep, I have an outdoor pool 5 min bike ride away and open water swimming 15 min ride away. If I got an endless pool fastlane, at best I get even more convenience, but realistically it is only from May to Mid Oct (with wetsuit). Don’t really have place to put it indoors. That being said, I have to something with my backyard which is in need of some landscaping/yardwork after years of neglect from spending the bulk of the weekend training or too fried to do anything other than cut the grass
Is this much money worth spending to get, perhaps an incremental 1 min lead on Murphy’s Law out of T1 (what am I thinking, of course the answer is yes…)
I have a standard 8ft.x 15ft. endless pool- built indoors.
Pros- swim on your schedule, no turns, you set the h2o temp and current strength(workload),the filtration system needs very little Cl- so no pool man maintenance, IMHO-current forces straighter, more efficient line and balance. Since the pool is not big it’s cheaper to heat(especially indoors)
Cons- It’s a good thing it’s cheaper to heat 'cuz it costs alot to build(alot less for the fastlane),the motor that gives the current(mine is the 6hp) is LOUD-plan to soundproof it.
Overall rating- Gotta love it!-read the Pros again.
