How many Brands on your Tri-Bike?

Person with the least wins a box of Double Stuff Oreos- I’ll start:

FrameFork,Seatpost,Brakes: Cervelo
Shifters,FD,RD,Chain,Pedals,Cassette: Shimano
Aerobars: Vision
Brake Levers: DiaCompe
Bar Tape: Cinelli
Seat: Profile
Bottle Cages (3), Bottles: Tacx
Headset: Cane Creek
Wheels: Velomax
Tubes,Tires: Continental
Rear Bottle Mount: Minoura

RimStrip: Velox

That’s 11 or 12 for me- Represent. What You Got?!

EDIT:
Stem: 3T

That makes 12 or 13 depending. Bring it!

EDIT2:

Crap- Cranks: FSA, so that’s 13 or 14, Whatcha Got!?

Seven brands- it’s a stock P2C

  1. Cervelo: Frame, fork, brake calipers, grip tape, seat post
  2. Shimano: Shifters, RD, FD, wheels, pedals, chain, cassette
  3. FSA/Vision: Bars, stem, cranks, brake levers
  4. Selle San Marco: Saddle
  5. Performance: Bottle cage, tubes
  6. Cane Creek: Headset
  7. Tires: Vittoria

.

Nice. Highly competitive, but you must break up #3 to keep it fair to the Easton people out there who might have Creek brake levers.

Hmmm…

Cervelo frame, fork & post
Michelin tubes & tyres
Ritchey rim tape
Alex rims
DT Swiss spokes & nipples
Look pedals
Shimano groupset (incl. hubs, brake pads & all cables)
Hope skewers
Specialized cages
Polar speed & cadence sensors
FSA headset & Visiontech aerobars (counted as 1 brand)
3T stem
Fizik bar tape
SRAM brake levers
Selle Italia saddle

…I think I lose with 15

…I think I lose with 15

No worries, person with the most gets a rearview mirror to add to their collection/list.

hmmm…

Performance- Frame/Fork/Seatpost
FSA/Vision- Crank/Aerobars/Headset/Brake Levers/BB
Tektro- Brake Calipers
Fizik- Saddle
Shimano- FD, RD, Cassette, Shifters, Chain, Cables
Mavic- wheels, skewers

Frame Fork: Trek TTX
Cranks, brakes, levers, shifters:Sram Force
Aerobar, bar tape, seatpost, saddle, front wheel, h20 bottle, tires: bontrager
headset:cane creek
rear wheel: renn disc

That makes 5 (and I could argue 4 since Bonty and Trek are the same company), or 4 if I put my trainers on which are bonty as well.

Yeah Me!!!

Fun post by the way…

I love the blacked out look…sweet ride.

Sweet. Sweet. Sweet.

mavic = wheels and skewers
michelin = tryes tubes and rim strip
shimano = entire groupset less brake levers
profile = cages, aerobars aerobottle, stem, co2 gear and brake levers
scott = frame /fork and bartape ( the headset says scott as well, any clues whats under the cover? )
fizik = seat
time = pedals I forgot the damn pedals

and usually any number of gels of varying brand taped to the top tube

Frame, Fork, Stem: 2005 Cannondale Slice (Alum/Carbon)
Aerobars, Seatpost: Profile Design
Chainrings, Headset: FSA
Cranks, BB, Brakes, Derailleurs, shifters, pedals, cables: Shimano (Ultegra/DA mix)
Wheels, skewers: Fulcrum (Campagnolo)
Hydration: NeverReach
Food storage: TNI
Spare parts storage: CageRocket
Seat: Selle Italia
Tires: Tufo

10 brands (7 if you’re talking just what I need to ride, not to race)

Shoes (bike and run) are Adidas, Clothes are Louis Garneau, Helmet is Giro, Wetsuit is Orca.
Unk what brand the new goggles and sunglasses will be, poss TYR and Oakley.

This is an interesting game, but I think it penalizes people who have a greater knowledge of bikes. Take my (rear) training wheel for example. It has a Vreddy tyre, a Conti tube, Vreddy tape (I think - it might be Velox), Mavic rim, DT spokes & nipples, and a campy hub/cassette/lockring/skewer. At one point in time it would have also had a Cateye magnet on it as well.

That’s a total of 7 possible brands, but only 3 are easily visible.

One might look at my frame and say “It’s a Yaqui” - but in reality it’s a Yaqui with Easton Scandium tubing and a Deda Blackstick (carbon) rear end. I don’t know what brand dérailleur hangars Ves used, or cable stops for that matter. Going from memory the cable guide under the bb shell is plastic and bolted on, so we’d need to know who made that as well. I don’t know if he constructs his own bottom bracket shells or if he uses an off the shelf stock piece. That could be another.

So like I said, neat game - but unless the same person were to do the brand analysis they aren’t really comparable.

I think I might win the “anal jackass who spoiled the game” prize though…

I’m pretty sure I’d lose. In cables / housing alone I have Shimano, clb, some off brand, and IODupont. Plus Felt, Reynolds, FSA, Syntace, Profile, Avocet, Speedplay, Hed, bontrager, Veloflex, Zipp, Sram, Canecreek, MRC. Thats with tubulars, so no rimstrip or tubes, but I do use either conti or vittoria glue.
