Which Races ?
May 22: Califonia Man
September 25: Ultramax
What are your impressions on recovery/successive race experiences?
I felt amazing after CaliMan and was really surprised. I took one week really easy post-race, then eased back into it since I was heading off to Belgium/France and would be doing quite a bit of riding. Came back from that trip and PRed at the Half IM distance (by about 30 minutes), then three weeks later, PRed at the HIM distance again (by another 20 minutes). I’m looking forward to racing in three weeks.
Whats your motivation?
To actually train right and see how much I can improve (after many years of training half-assed). Having a great coach kicking my butt helps too.

Which Races ? IM-moo and IM-KONA!!! Yeah!
What are your impressions on recovery/successive race experiences? Ask me next Monday and then again on the 17th of October.
Whats your motivation? Not so much wanting to do this as… signed up for IM-moo and then oops well kind of fell into a slot out at Half Vineman (very unexpected). This next month is going to rock.

I’m doing the same combo. My plan is to train hard and taper for IMMOO and then just rest for Hawaii. Last year I did IMLP amd Hawaii and had similar times in both races despite dropping off training hours significantly between the two races.
In Hawaii I plan on taking it out real easy and then taking what the day gives me. This seemed to work great last year.
