Where is the point of diminishing returns for lowering your front end? Would it be the point where your pointy helmet is low enough to form a nice line parallel to your back? As I have continued to experiement, I am amazed (though I should not be) at how much faster you go once you lower your chest out of the impact area of the wind. Even just riding around easy it is very apparent.
If you use Jens or Bjorn as our examples, then you can take an imaginary ruler and run it down a line on their helmet through their back it would only be pointing up a few degrees, if any.

The primary limiter is probably the point where you start to negatively impact your comfort and ability to stay in the aerobars for extended periods of time…assuming we’re talking triathlon and not straight TT.
For me it’s hip angle, and not so much how low the front end is. I can get pretty darn low, it the back end is far anough forward. I’d have to get more pics taken, but I’ve got my chest level (though there’s still slope inthe back), so I think that’s about as far as I need to go. Farther than that, and I’ll have to get my neck fused…
When Bjorn looks at your drop and says DAAAAAAAMMMMMNNNNN! it might be too low.
when your nose is getting chafed…
