I’ve never ridden enough (yet) to wear a set out. Got my new bike last year and it has Vittoria Rubinos on it. How many miles should i expect out of them? 2000?-3000? Kinda a newbie question but hey I’m a newbie.
Depends on how and where you ride. Are you diligent about keeping them inflated on every ride. I had a set of rubinos and they went 2,500 miles. I have also had a set that blew out in about 300 but rode over alot of crap in the road during the winter. Hope this helps some…

Here's what I used to do in a normal year before all my injuries started. I'd start the year with three new tires, two on the bike, one on the shelf. About half way through summer the back one starts looking kind of square, not round, so I change it, put on number three. Next year do over with three now tires. Don't put the front tire on the rear. Front tires get a lot of nicks and cuts. If you rotate that tire to the rear, it will likely blow one of those cuts eventually.
Pump your tires before every ride! (very important)
Lately, with all my injuries, I'm just playing it by ear and changing when I need to.
However. Moving the front to the rear may give you some flats in the rear; however, you always want the newer and better tire on the front. Getting a flat in the rear is much safer than getting a flat in front; you will lose much more control with a flat up front.

I only got a little over 1000 on my rubinos before they started to crack. I had so many flats that it was ridiculous…so I had to pony up for a new set of continentals. So far, so good…
I think tire factories are amazingly inconsistant. One batch good, the next crap. Pick almost any tire and you will find someone that loves them (5000km and they or still like new) and someone who wouldn’t pee on them if they were on fire. Personally I have had great luck with my Rubino Pros but maybe I got the good batch.
