I’m heading to Las Vegas next week for a business and am likely not to have much time to train. I’ll be staying at the Palms so it could be worse Anyway, I’m wondering how little I can work out and not lose fitness. I’m currently in a Base 1/2 phase and am getting roughly between 5-7 hours of exercise in a week.
I guess 20 minutes 3 times per week and you’re good to go…

If it’s just a week, don’t worry about it. You will loose almost no fitness. Consider squeezing in a couple of runs early in the morning during the week. The great thing about running is that you can do it anywhere and any time.
I just spent 5 days outta town and could only muster three 45 min. runs, no swim or ride, but when I got back I felt great in the pool and on the bike. You’ll be surprised at how resilient your body is.
Are you going out there for NAB? I’ll be down there next week - doing the same routine. There is a great Y pool in down town if you want to get a quality swim in. Otherwise myself and some other guys from work typically will run down the strip around 6-6.30 am. It’s dead, and actually a very scenic run.
If you have the time and a vehicle, maybe go for a run in Red Rocks. I spent a couple days in Vegas years ago while on a climbing trip in Red Rock Canyon, it’s really beautiful.
