How hot is the new Giro Advantage2 helmet? Or is it too late in the season t0 tell?

I’m really on the fence about an aero helmet. I worry that the LG is just TOO hot. I know the Rudy is much cooler, but for my mediocre cycling (2:33 for SOMA HIM), it might be nearly as good, and I can get a good price right now. (Besides, I’m not entirely certain I want to get passed by a bunch of folks while wearing a super aero helmet.)

I am considering the Giro, but am also concerned about the heat, it can get pretty hot around here and for IMAZ, it can get sometimes get hot in April in Phoenix. Any comments about the heat factor?

Except for a really hot day I’m starting to think the concern over aero helmets being too warm and not well enough venitlated may be overblown.

I’ve worna few different brands and never gotten too hot in any.

My wife wore a Rudy Syton for Kona, her first time wearing it and thought it got a little hot. I would imagine that the LG would be much hotter. The Giro looks like it has decent venting, so that might be ok for a race in those sorts of conditions. Macca didn’t wear an aero helmet because he thought it’d be too hot - of course, according to Stadler, Macca also didn’t have to worry too much about trying to stay aero.
