So, is Levi really having a tough tour this year or is he just playing a good game of poker? With the TT coming up on Sat and the Pyrenees after, it will be time to put up or shut up for Levi. I can see Contador finishing higher in the GC when it all shapes up in Paris.

If Contador finishes ahead, good for him. Both are good riders who have nothing to be ashamed of.
he’s just waiting to pounce…problem is I think he’s waiting until next year’s tour of california…
Levi is almost a minute and a half behind Valverde and neck and neck with Kloden. He is going to have to ride the time trial of his life and still do something special in the Pyrenees to wear yellow. It will be interesting to see how it plays out - certainly a far cry from the Lance years.

Contador is Disco’s ace in the hole. They can let Levi ride conservatively and Contador can be the aggresive one.
If they send Alberto ahead they can force the other GC teams to gamble on whether he has the goods to take it all the way to Paris. Levi can sit and wait for his moment while the other GC contendors blow up trying to hang with Contador.
