I was debating on doing 2008 CDA and debated too long and it closed. Does anyone know how fast Lake Placid sells out?
About 3 seconds

Is it possible to register on line or do I need to be in person–if in person I am out of luck. Any thoughts?

Is the community fund slots for IMCDA sold out also? That might be an option still. It will cost you a $1000, but at least you get in.
It is hard to tell on the Community Fund slots but I am inquiring now about it?

online and pray the internet gods are smiling on you that day.
On-site sales start at 9am and on-line starts at 11am. Since next year is the 10th anniversary and given the growing popularity of IMLP, there’s a possibility it could be sold out before 11am. I’m going to maximize my odds and show up on-site by 8am.
last year opened online at 9 and people who were online and waiting at that time still got locked out by the active site. I think standing in line on monday morning is the only safe bet.
If you do the online registration, make sure that you have the fastest connection possible. If you have to upgrade, or go to a hotel or something, do it because you have no chance with dial-up.
Make sure you have pre-registered for Active with a username and password.
I did not have ANY problems with either FL06 or LP07, but then I was prepared to sign up as soon as registration opened and I have a fast dual-T1 work connection.
I have a T1 line in my office too, so I am hoping any “Slow down” issues can be alleviated.
