Yup. We wait until November 12 to merchandise our store for Xmas. That’s now rare in retail.
My brother decorates like Clark Griswold.
For halloween, they had a 20ft inflatable pumpkin.
They started on Xmas on Nov 1st. They fill the front yard with decorations.
SIL is head of HOA, and the area voted for best decorated street.
My Ukrainian GF is looking over my should as I look at this thread and she says: Who is CaptainCanada and is he Russian or from one of the Baltic States that were part of the Russian Federation, because that phrase says “Thank you for your attention in this matter.”
So…
Ha that’s hilarious. No, still a Canuck. Just using the Russian to mock the Orange Turd.
This is the way.
I’d say nothing before Thanksgiving, but was just in NYC for the marathon and the wife sure was happy there were some decorations already out.
Christmas music started on Monday. Winter/holiday decorations are going up tomorrow. And I’m unapologetically into it!

We’re all in here. Today we took a trip out to one of the malls in the area to walk around, hit the carousel, and saw Santa. The mall is all done up. Tomorrow we finish decorating ![]()

We are putting up the tree tomorrow. My oldest is old enough that she started trash talking me last year about not having Xmas lights up, so, I’ll be running electrical to a soffit plug next weekend and getting some lights up.
I’m not a big Xmas guy but its hard not to get in to it with young kids. They get so excited!
Oh for sure! My daughter is so much more aware of everything this year and gets so excited for the decorations. She obviously feeds off of us though lol. I got an 8 ft Santa blowup last year and I have a few more in the Amazon cart. Wife hates the lawn blowups but now I have my daughter as an excuse for lawn mayhem! Haha
Mid October stores were putting away Halloween decor and bringing out the xmas, skipping thanksgiving all together.
That said, Boston’s tree drove down from Nova Scotia this weekend. It was in a dude’s front yard last week ![]()
Must be after Thanksgiving. You can put them up going with the weather but don’t light them up until after Thanksgiving.
