Muellers heading is tomorrow. I am sure the following three questions will be asked. I think the answer will be no to all.
- did your report find no collusion?
- obstruction?
- was it a total exoneration.
Muellers heading is tomorrow. I am sure the following three questions will be asked. I think the answer will be no to all.
What if he says yes to #3? The wailing meltdown across the progressive left will be epic
I mean sure. And if he says no? The spin on the right will be it’s equal.

Spin is different than outright despair
Haha. Yes there is a difference between “we don’t have to do our constitutional duty because we believe x.y.z/spin doesn’t apply†vs “this is complete bullshitâ€

(he may not answer the third question.)
Republicans will say this is nothing new and not worthy of impeachment. The Dems have to all get on the same page one way or the other. An Impeachment enquiry will only be opened if public support for one rises to, say, 60%, which I think is unlikely. But this hearing is aimed at educating the public of what’s in the report as clearly very few have actually read it. It was really only through televised hearings that public support swung against Nixon, so it’s possible.
Dems need to ask pertinent questions and then shut up. Pubs will try to say Mueller and his team were conflicted and will ask “questions†about whether there was misconduct in the 2016 investigation, etc.

“I don’t recall.” .
“I don’t recall.” .
“I don’t recall.” .
Now this is the real situation that would make the left heads explode.
Or. “Look in the report. It is in thereâ€

Well, did you see the request today? I have a feeling Mueller is going to TRY to punt.
CNN)Special counsel Robert Mueller’s deputy Aaron Zebley is expected to appear next to the special counsel as his counsel at Wednesday’s hearings on the special counsel’s report, according to a House Judiciary committee source.
Zebley will be there to advise Mueller, but the special counsel will be the only one answering the committee questions, the source said. Democrats only plan to swear in Mueller as a witness.
Mueller made the last-minute request to have his deputy sworn in for Wednesday’s blockbuster hearings before the Judiciary and Intelligence Committees on the Mueller report, in case he needed to help with any questions the special counsel could not fully answer himself, according to a source familiar with the matter.

this more so seems he wants to answer correctly and precisely on a historic day

Which clearly means there was collusion and obstruction and he is hiding something.
Just trying to get out ahead of things.

Well Trump just tweeted that he’s v unhappy about this, so there’s that.

Gee! Imagine that!
I think Mueller is doing the right thing. He knows this is going to get ugly and he is going to have a target on his back, so, he’s trying to do his best to answer what will likely be a lot of very good and A LOT of very stupid questions.
I would just like him to answer the question. “Did you complete the investigation to your satisfaction or was it stopped by someone above you.â€
this more so seems he wants to answer correctly and precisely on a historic day
Yep. See my response to Kay, above.
What if he says yes to #3? The wailing meltdown across the progressive left will be epic
I’m sure what Mueller really feels and what he is confined to say officially are two different things.
nothing he didn’t already say in the report… thus this is a waste of everyone’s time… just like the whole thing was from the start.
This is just ignorant. Was it helpful to understand Russians involvement in the election? Yes.
Was it helpful to know what connections the president had with the Russians. Yes.
Was it helpful to know that due to the president’s and others actions we were not able to fully understand the initial premise of the investigation. Yes.
If your taking is that the report said that the president committed crimes related to election interference is a waste of time so be it
My question is. If this really is the case why is the doj trying to restrict his testimony?
If what you are implying is true. Then the only reason I can think of would be to intimidate the witness.
I do wonder who will mess this up more the Democrats or the Republicans. Really the smartest move for Republicans is to just shut up. They are only going to make themselves look even dumber. The Democrats will probably just push for answers to questions that Mueller will never answer.
I think the smartest avenue is to ask about Barr’s actions and words. Mueller is obviously very upset about Barr’s initial letter. Barr has also said lots of things that Mueller can shine light on, like when Barr claimed he told Mueller he could recommend charges against the president if he felt it was warranted. I really doubt Barr ever said that. This is the sort of stuff I think Mueller is more willing to talk about, since it does not affect any sort unfairness in saying someone committed a crime that could not be charged and had a fair trial. This would all be about showing anyone that is acting in a dishonest way and hurting the institution, which is something that Mueller would want to protect.
