How do you get your electrolytes on a long run?

I’m curious how people get their electrolytes during a long run. Do most of you wear fuel belts?

I don’t wear a fuel belt. Sometimes I take some gels with me on a long run. I take the gel just before getting to a water fountain, but sometimes I find that I have to drink so much water that my stomach gets that full, sloshy feeling for a while afterwards.

What do other people do to get their electrolytes?

Thanks,

Matt

Matt, I carry Thermolyte tabs in a mini M&Ms container which I stick in my shorts pocket.

i carry a water bottle, salt tabs and gels. not toooooo hard

Ah, thermolytes or salt tabs. That’s a good idea. I have this thing about carrying things in my hands when I run - drives me crazy. So I can’t carry a bottle w/ a sports drink in it. But I run in the park mostly and there are water fountains so tablets would work well probably.

Thanks!

Matt

Electrolytes are for sissies. I’m nil by mouth for my 2-2.5 hour runs.
