I bought a jar of Vegemite today. Now what?
Do you come from a land down under?
Put some bread in the toaster and spread on the vegemite. For newbs spread very conservatively.
Where women glow and men plunder?
No I don’t. Just wondering if there is a trick to making this stuff taste good.
heh, well you either like it or you don’t.
It’s like liver, your not going to get the taste to go away. Your either partial to it or your not.
Ya’ gotta get the bread from a man in Brussels…

That stuff is terrible, there is no reason to eat it unless it is all you have in the cupboard.

Yeah, but finding one the is 6’ 4" and made of muscles could be tough. Plus you have the whole language barrier thing.
I hear they are good with flat coke.
But how does it get in the cupboard in the first place? Someone must like it, so I bought a very small jar just to see what all the fuss was about.
I bought a jar of Vegemite today.
That was step 1, you now need to do the following:
- Apply an orbital sander to taste buds.
- Apply vegemite to bread.
- Consume vegemite sandwich
- Cry
Are you planning on moving to australia or something?
Aussies are weened on it. Other then that it’s an acquired taste.
Kinda like Hawaii poi, that stuff it just freakin wrong.

That’s funny. We have an Aussie au pair, she brought a bunch of Australian food with her. Milo, Vegemite, Tam Tams…some other stuff.
The Milo is great (in a glass of milk or over ice cream!). Tam Tams are delicious, but Vegemite is…well, let’s just say its not my thing. But, my 2 y/o daughter LOVES it. She calls it ‘Don-An-Nite’. We actually ran out and have to order some more online (pretty hard to find here in San Diego)
You guys have World Market? It’s there… just make sure you check the expiration date 
Why did you buy it?
It was there. Impulse buy, now I have to eat it since I’m a Canadian, therefore I am tight with money.
