One of my brothers lives 0.25 miles down the road. A niece, from a sister, not that brother, live a mile walk across the fields. If you take the roads it is more like 2.5 miles.
I have no idea why either of them live there. It may be the most boring place on the planet. An hour southwest of Toledo. There is no geographic variation at all. There is an old sand dune from when Lake Erie extended further that is referred to as “The Hill”. It is literally the only hill within 10 - 20 miles. And it can’t be more than 30 or so feet high.

My dad is an aircraft mechanic (as am I) and we followed the work for my entire childhood. I live about a hundred miles from my parents now, but live three miles door-to-door from my wife’s parents (her childhood home).
I myself would love nothing more than to sell the house and move ourselves to Idaho, but I guess we’re stuck here.
