How can you tell your significant other that they need to drop some weight?

without being a douche.

Have Chainpin do it for you.

without being a douche.

Impossible, doing so makes you a douche.

Maybe try to figure out why the weight is going on rather than suggest she needs to lose it which will only add to the factors that is causing her to gain it in the first place.

The only caveat to this would be if it’s so bad that it’s a health issue. If it has anything to do with “You’re not as hot as you were before”…you’re a douche

Thanks

Or, just start banging someone skinnier. She will get the hint.

Carefully! Holy crap… are you insane?

If you still care for him/(especially) her you might want to scrap that plan!

If you find out (without getting a divorce) please let us al know…

(Or try this: “Honey, the extra pounds look good on you.”)

Congratulate her on the pregnancy.

Typically from opposing sides of a divorce court.

Nah, by the time they get to court she/he has already shed the pounds and are looking like you wanted them to all along.

The same way porcupines make love:

Very carefully.

You don’t.

After I had gained 25 pounds, Mrs. Fatmouse walked up behind me as I was standing in front of an open refrigerator. She grabbed my gut and jiggled it and made a smarmy comment.

A couple of days later I had gotten my old bike tuned up by the local shop and started putting in the miles.

I do wonder what would happen if I ever did that to Mrs. Fatmouse. Pretty sure you’d never hear from me again. Things work differently for men and women.

Yeah, the story a couple days ago about the lady who killed and cooked her husband, was just bizarre to you and me, but it was a recipe idea for women.

I assume it is your wife so why do you feel she has to drop some weight? Are you concerned about her health or is it really for you?

If you are “really” concerned about her health, then focus on changing the food you eat at home. You don’t need to exercise to lose weight (I am far leaner since I stopped doing triathlons) but you do have to eat well to lose it. Try controlling what is bought. Also, in terms of exercise (which often starts the improvement in eating) if she snacks at night try suggesting going for a walk instead, join a dance group, or find something she loves without actually calling it exercise.

Be careful, you could end up on a path to this:

Buy her a bike…
