Anyone have any recommendations for bike shops in HKG? How about pricing on components (gruppos), cheaper then North America?
Dev- any info for me?

.
yes, there are some bike shops there.
prices?
in my experience, not so great. some are higher than typical us and canada prices. and when you find cheaper prices in hong kong, they tend to be only a little better (maybe 5%) than the most competitive us prices. but you may find some exceptions if you visit a lot of shops.
thanks, I appreciate your input!.
Have not really done any bike stuff shopping in Hong Kong. Frankly I am too cheap to shop for anything but I hear if you want the place to get good quality low price business suits then head over to Tsim Sha Tsui area on Kowloon Island. You can take the train from Hong Kong Airport to this area and there are tons of hotels, restaurants and shopping.
I’m passing through HK on Oct 21/24th spending a bunch of days in the nearby industrial paradise of Shenzhen. Was actually hoping to spend at least one day of Oct 24/25 in Hong Kong, but need to get my butt over to Japan to prepare for some business meetings, so no real time to enjoy Hong Kong. I really like that city. It is an amazing mix of east meets west and a bit dissappointed to not spend that day in Hong Kong as I am not sure I will ever get back for business.
Actually, the most interesting thing I find is sitting with a coffee in Hong Kong airport, watching people from all parts of the world go by getting their connections…some going to Europe, some to every other Asian city, some going to North America, others to Australia and New Zealand…very few airports where you get such a balanced mix of people from around the world. Each face has their own story, stress and joys as they all go to do the same…rush to get over to their seat in an airplane on the way to their destination.
OK, back to the regular programming on ST. “Seat’s to high even though your FTP is 400W”

Haven’t been to HK in a long time but there are a few good shops.
Search for Flying Ball & Wings bike shop.
They are more or less located on the same area (if not the same street) walking distance.
It’s a whole street of bike shops.
Flying Ball look for Mr.Lee or Ian Dacre (Brit).
