Mrs. Last Tri worked on her gut busting holiday cookies/candy this weekend. She made 30 dozen. Phase I included

Molasses cookies. Warm and with milk.
My sisters both came to my house last weekend and we made Christmas candy. I think I’ve gained 4 pounds since then. 
We did - almond bark cookies, homemade caramels, peanut clusters, almond bark dipped pretzels, fudge, chocolate dipped ritz cracker/peanut butter sandwiches, and bunny tails (big marshmallows dipped in melted caramel and then rolled in rice krispies…yum). We also made a couple of batches of chex mix, but no actual Christmas cookies.
A good way for the three of us to spend some quality time together. Plus my co-workers really liked the plate of goodies I brought last Friday.
Oh man, homemade carmels and fudge. Makes me miss my grandma! She was a master at that.
Family tradition: Braztles. They are made with lots and lost of lemon zest and cooked on a special iron (sort of like a waffler). My sister somehow ended up with the iron after my dad died, so we gather at her house every year to make them. Should be interesting this year.
Is that like a stroopwafel, a yummy Dutch treat?
I’m not sure. They aren’t very sweet, and are flat. They’re Swiss. I’ve seen some Italian cookies that looked similar. I have never had Bratzles outside of my family.
The caramels are terrific. Leave them out on the counter and they are perfect…nice and chewy. My sister has this recipe perfected. I make the fudge and it is good, but not great.
Ohhh, stroopwafels are a favorite of my family. We had a Dutch exchenge that introduced them to us in 1984. They have them at Trader Joe’s (bought some yesterday and ate some today…) but they’re not the same at the fresh ones from the Netherlands.
My mommy went cookie-crazy this weekend as well. She made:
