Got my Bondi B’s on Thursday from Boulder Running Co. I ran 15K in them today, overall pretty good.
I ordered 1/2 size up based on reviews and they fit perfect! When you pick them up right out of the box its surprising just how light they truly are.As for the “in hand flexibility test” they’re pretty darn stiff - not much forefoot flexibility.Just going by the eyeball test - they appear to have more than 4mm heel drop but I guess your heel sets deeper in the heel cup. When you first put them on its noticeable just how high off the ground you are - they must add 2 inches to your height (I’m already 6’4).As for the ride - its very plush without being overly bouncy. I found myself naturally landing on my mid-foot (as intended my the shoe design). The lack of forefoot flexibility didn’t seem to bother me at all. I found myself taking slightly shorter strides at first and toward the end of my run my hamstrings got a bit tight - probably getting use to the ride height. I also noticed the shoe stays in contact with the ground longer.I liked them very much but not completely sure if I’m going to use them for the Chicago marathon.
