Has anyone done one of these HITS events?
I’ve never heard of them but they are putting on a HIM back in my home town in February that looks fun. It would make a nice combo trip to visit family and race with them watching but I don’t want to spend the money on travel & shipping if their events are not well organized.
At least their website is well done.

Check the date of the very first event. 
Yea I saw schedule dates but I guess I was thinking those were just the events that have yet to occur. I didn’t realize this was a brand new organization. After re-reading their “about” page it does sound like this is all brand new.
There are a few threads on here about the series. It’s being run by the same guy who does the HITS horse shows. Tom does a great job of the horse shows so no doubt he will do the same for the triathlonn series.
Just a little background. The HITS’s organizers have been doing horse show circuits for many years. Horseshows In The Sun. We used to compete in them in Florida. They are high quality and well run. One of the owners became involved in Tris and thought he could make up a similar circuit for Triathlons.
I am certain they have the capital to pull it off and have the organizing experience to do a great job. Time will tell if they can start up at that level and succeed. Why not give it a try? Athletes are always complaining about lack of competition for WTC. I don’t see it as being a low cost alternative though. . Definitely a profit enterprise.
Wow, just looking at their site they really seem to have it together. I really like how they have the full spread of distances over a single weekend. Might have to hit one or two of those races up next year.
Considering the 1/2 IM distance for Palm Springs in December. We’ll see…If I do it, I’ll post an RR.
