No info about the new course. Swim must be in the Hudson. I hope they are not planning a one way down-river swim. I hope someone checked the tides. Doe anyone remember the 1.2 mile walk through the mud at the 1999 Kingston half ironman?
Seems like a good move. I did their first race in Hunter which was in June and wonderful. Then I signed up the last two years for the Hunter race in September and it was so cold I decided not to start both years.
Yes, Jon, I froze in the Olympic last year. I thought that moving the race up by a week gave them warmer weather but it moved the race too close to Skylands Tri in NJ which I love to do. I’ll be interested to see what the new course will be.
