O.k. I am looking for some advice. After a BRICK about 4 weeks ago I had a high-hamstring pull/tightness. For the most part I nursed it with stretching/massage/running at a slow pace. The tightness then moved to glute and groin. Finally after 3 weeks of not good run workouts I emailed my sports med doc. He is seeing me on Monday and said only to swim, no biking or running. He said if it is a hip stress fracture not to bike or run so just wait to see him. I never even considered until now. I did bike an easy 25 mile ride this morning and it didn’t seem to hurt but now I am thinking of just following his advice and only swim from now until Monday—with Wisc IM in about 6 weeks, I am freaking out!!! Anyone have any advice/ words of encouragement?
Could it be your IT band? Sounds like the same pain I had and it was my IT band.
