HIM Recovery

I must admit, Vineman 70.3 took a lot out of me (my first HIM - 5:30). It is now almost a week and a half later, and I either have little motivation to start training for a race I am not sure if I am gonna do yet (LA Tri), or I am not fully recovered yet. I talked to some people at a local sprint (solana beach tri) this weekend who also did vineman, and they said they are still not fully recovered (and they are definitely superior athletes to me (4:30)). I have only done a few workouts since the race.

So, how long does it take you to recover from a HIM (mentally and physically)?
