HIM on little training

Hey guys, I am training for the Racine HIM (july 23rd) and thats great. Im following my plan all nice and good and everything is on schedule… (i think/hope)

Well there is a HIM in Monroe, MI (in one week) and one of my friends on my team registered and cant go… Should i go in his place? I am confident I can finish the swim and do fairly well on the bike. However, my running training is the thing i have on the schedule to get back in gear for Racine. So in all expectations i would completely hate myself on the run. I realize thats somewhat the point, but this will be a different kind of hate.

As of lately ive started to get my run on and have about 4 weeks of running twice a week (6ish miles). So what do you think?

For the ppl that are like “why no running”… this is my first year on the tri team and I couldnt swim in September and i did not have biking legs… so i have been working on that and was just hoping my previous 10 yrs of running would just carry me when i got to the runs… That was a wrong idea, first sprint i completely died on the run and second i was poor but alright.

thanks,
Brad

Does the RD allow transfers?

looked it up and no they do not have transfers.

There’s your answer then. Keep the focus on Racine.

Don’t make his problem, your problem.

Stick to Racine.

If I were you, I would bandit the race under your buddies name.
.

And make sure if you place or place AG you except the award.

YES!!! thanks for that, I forgot to say that.

If I was ever to bandit a race it certainly wouldn’t be a 3Disciplines race.

Just fyi, since you’re training for it, Racine is July 18.
