My floor pump is acting up and I’m curious if anyone has found a really high volume bike pump (floor type) that can cut down on the time I spend pumping up tires (I have kids and lots of bikes).
With almost 200 lbs available to push on the pump (yes I could lose some weight) I would have thought that there would be something with a 4+ inch wide tube that I could just lean on and get the tires to 100+ in a couple quick pumps.
Or is there some law of physics that I’m missing here?

I saw this one. This comes with a person to help you pump up your tire. In all seriousness my bike shop has one that is wider then normal and takes only a few pumps. I’ll get you the name next time I go in
High volume mtn bike pumps are quick up to about 60-70 psi with the larger diameter tube so work well on kids bikes and small car tires. Stay away from the older silca super pista and other 220 psi pumps with small diameter tubes. You are right that the bigger the tube the more air so find the fattest and longest you can deal with.
I recently bought one of these new SKS pumps (LINK) it is pretty sweet and cheap. The longer barrel helps to pump less times.
I also own a rennkompressor which is way more expensive but durable and works great.
Still one of my favorite pumps is the Specialized Air Tool floor pump.
i bought the least expensive “Husky” brand compressor at home depot, it has a small tank the size of a loaf of bread and is about 80 bucks, it works great for bike and car tires, snow tubes, cleaning the bike with the blow gun, etc. It won’t run an air wrench though
If you live near a Specialized LBS, their Air Tool pumps are very, very slick. They are rock-solid and put out a ton of air, and only require a few pumps. It’s probably the single best piece of equipment/bike tool I own. I thought it was overpriced at the time, but over the last 3-4 years it has more than paid for itself.
Mine is red, but the current Pro version looks like this:
