Recently made some adjustments to my position including lots of variables (I know, I know…don’t change a bunch of variables at once) like Reach, Aerobar Height, Saddle Height, etc. New pain in my left upper/inside (kind of near what you might think is the groin area) of my hamstring. Feels like I’m overstretching that muscle group when riding hard. Not sure what that could be related to in terms of the adjustments made to my bike.
Any thoughts/ideas?
Sounds like you answered you own question. The overstretch in the low back muscles can lead to hamstring issues. Last summer I had a hamstring issue just like what you are describing & spent a time in PT Thought mine wasn’t brought on by bike. Left over from a previous injury where un bekonwst I did the dreaded compensation which led to the problem. changes the PT said that shortening in the low back QL along with tight psoas/hip flexors led to the hamstring issue.

Based on your description - search for “piriformis” and “sciatica” or “sciatic nerve”. Covered well in many prior threads.
Basically, you have likely closed your hip angle too much by raising your seat, lowering your bars, or effectively lowering your bars by increasing reach.
