I wonder if we will be swimming? Got a tweet from HFP, the lake is near flood stage. They sent a pic, the beach is nowhere to be seen…

Do you think they would have us run a couple of miles instead of swim, or just Bike, then run? Wow, how would we start 50 people at once on a bike? (you know like waves like they do with the beach start) time trial?

I was at another HFP race where the lake was flooded and we did run/bike/run. They kept the ‘triathlete’ results separate from those who had signed up for the duathlon.

What kind of run would we do instead of a 1500 meter swim?

That I do not remember… sorry… I’d guess maybe 5k? Whatever it is, it would most certainly involve another trip up that hill out of the transition area :-).
