I agree. However, I thought someone posted that he spoke w/ John Cobb (or someone at Blackwell) who said that “Disco” was not the final name of the wheel and that they did not want the wheel, in any way, to be associated with a “disc.” If that is true, we will likely not see “Disco” on the wheel.

Right…I believe it’s officially been dubbed the 200.

Excellent…

doea anyone know if they are available as a front wheel?

dont be silly…you have a bigger brain than monty!!!

Not once he’s been blown off a few times and landed on his head!

If you ran one of those on the front and a regular wheel or a trispoke on the back would your bike look like it was going backwards thus causing a rupture in the space-time continuum and explode?

only if you ride it in Kona
.

I already asked, answer from Dave was, no
.

Hmmm, amybe I’ll buy a rear and rehub it for the front. That is the ultimate front wheel. coupled with a disc or another one of those on back and that would be one fast wheelset.

I am not so certain - some believe that a disc on the front may be slower than a deep 80-100mm wheel

In that line of thinking, I believe that there is a point of diminishing returns when it comes to front wheel rim depth

When I spoke to Dave, he said that the Disco front would not be made because it would not be safe to steer, as it acts much like a disc

That does not mean I wont be hounding him to make me one
.

This is great, when someone comes out with a 202mm depth rim, you will all be clamoring for an “upgrade”.

Maybe even better for some types of track racing. Interesting wheel, no doubt.
