He's an 8:19 guy

BS! Craig is straight up killing it!

New bike…

I think he’ll take the lead by mile 16 and no one will catch him.

He took the lead like 4 minutes ago. Not sure how far they’re in

By the end of the day he could be a 7:59 guy

.

Yeah, stepped away from coverage…I think they are around mile 9 now, didn’t think Lieto would be crushed by now, they reported that he’s already stop to walk.

We are gonna see the most amazing running EVER at ironman kona today. I’m loving it.

This could be his best year ever. If things continue at this pace, he’ll have won the 70.3 World Champs, the Ironman World Championships with both the run & overall course record while being the oldest athlete ever to do so - all in the same year. Insane.

He’s a legend. I’d have loved to see him and macca duel it out this year. Would’ve been awesome for him to finally shut Macca up.

If Macca doesn’t make the Olympic team, I’m sure he’ll be back, using his ‘renewed’ short course speed as a lever to build hype for a duel
.

He needs a 40 minute 10k to go sub 8 if I am doing the right math…holy cats - legend for sure!

Brent

Thanks for the update! I’m so excited for him.

Crowie read the book last night
In my opinion, Macca said many BS in his book.

Cramps.

Course record …

Anyone know his run split?

Gets labeled 8.19… Redefines himself for a course record with cramps… Becomes a three time winner in the modern age with very competitive fields… The Greatest ever

I am a big fan of Dave Scott and Mark Allen, however, I think there is a strong argument that a 3 time champion with today’s field is much more of an accomplishment than 6 time back then.

"I think there is a strong argument that a 3 time champion with today’s field is much more of an accomplishment than 6 time back then. "

(This is gonna hurt. This is gonna hurt.) I agree.
